Make a Splash with Watercolor Classes

This course is specifically designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of watercolor painting while discovering their unique artistic voice. We will begin by exploring the range of expressive qualities of watercolor and understand best practices. Watercolor paint can be applied to create works that range from bold and expressive to controlled and realistic. In this course, we will deconstruct reference photos and discover methods to achieve a successful composition. As we dive deeper into watercolor painting, we’ll be able to grasp the vast and often overwhelming landscape of color theory and layering techniques. You’ll finish by creating a final painting based your choice of subject while embracing the magic of the creative process—one brushstroke at a time.

• All materials provided! – watercolor paints, brushes, 8×10″ watercolor board, palate, reference images, transfer paper
